Welcome to the ESU #13 Wiki site.

This site is running MediaWiki, the same software used to develop Wikipedia, and is being deployed to supplement the ESU 13 Moodle and Elgg applications. These three web based, open source applications should create a dynamic learning environment for teachers and students in the ESU 13 region. Moodle is course management software similar to Blackboard or WebCT. Elgg is a social networking application that works well with Moodle. A block has been built that allows Elgg to serve as a linked eportfolio and/or blogging site for a course designed in Moodle. This MediaWiki site will serve as a location for numerous learning communities to create content describing a wide variety of topics.

Using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom is a page created for people to contribute ideas, and examples of web 2.0 tools use in the classroom.
